Building Color Sensor Based on Image Processing Technology for Automatic Color Object Sorting Using PLC System

A modern industry for mass production demand the automation is become key for high production with less human cost. Product sorting process one of most important area needs to be a fully automatic process with less human errors for sorting products. In this research we building a color sensor based on image processing to identifying color object then using PLC to sort these products with higher accuracy and automatically running process. In this project we building A small conveyor belt that transfer 4 different color object and using raspberry pi with camera to act as color sensor that transfer input signal to PLC according to PLC software the PLC generating output signal to drive CD drives to eject each object from the belt to color box that belongs to it also displaying the system number of object in same color using HMI for monitoring and control.
