This reform and other changes became the preconditions for Poland’s accession to the European Union in May 2004. \nBy 2017, the core curriculum had been re-approved six times by the Ministry of Education. The EU regularly updates key competencies, which require rethinking, modernizing the national core curriculum and then the curricula of educational and didactic institutions. It is proved that taking into account the principle of individualization and the needs of students with specific educational needs. It is necessary to regularly update key competencies in the curriculum. \nAn urgent issue is the substantiation of the teacher training concept. It is crucial to diagnose the tendencies needed to work with younger students, respond to changing demands of socio-cultural and economic development, take into account national characteristics, and update the content of education based on innovation.
