The proposed method does not require sensors to be deployed on each parking slot, which is more frequently used technique in the existing approaches, and it can provide a real-time representation of available parking slots. Moreover, the vehicle owners can discover available parking spaces remotely using the developed mobile application; thus, it saves a significant amount of time.
