Dual-band Metamaterial Absorber for Ka-Band Satellite Application
In this study, a Metamaterial Absorber (MMA) has been proposed for microwave applications. The designed metamaterial exhibits 99.99% of absorption at both 27.5 GHz and 31 GHz resonance frequency. Which covers two 0.38 GHz and 1.76 GHz 90% absorption bandwidth from 27.325-27.705 GHz and 29.505G-31.264 GHz respectively. The absorption, electric field, magnetic field, and surface current distribution have been presented to understand the physical mechanism of the dual-band absorption behavior. Furthermore, the MMA is analyzed with different polarization angles and the effect of the size has been studied for a better understanding of the metamaterial absorption characteristics.
