This can be realized with the use of the right language, one of which is by including the euphemism. This study aimed to describe the use of euphemism and its background in the headlines of Haluan February 2018 edition. The method used in this study is descriptive method. The results showed that the use of euphemism on research subjects was in the form of figurative expressions, flippancy, circumlocutions, abbreviations, one for one substitution, hyperbole, and jargon.
