The paper presents an evaluation of the performance of DeepL in the translation of specialized texts from English to Italian. The translation by DeepL was statistically rated at the same level of human translation in terms of adequacy and slightly lower in terms of fluency. Machine translation of the texts also received a higher score than that obtained in another analysis, carried out in a similar way, by machine translation of journalistic texts.
