Layered service software generation based on service description procedures
The authors propose that, in developing service software, the planning and design phase be divided into three steps: a general specification description, a signal specification description, and a nodal processing description. A specification conversion system which allows the automatic conversion of the general specification to the nodal processing specification through the signal specification, and a user-friendly development environment which allows a graphic and computer-aided specification description are developed. The service software that is generated from the nodal processing specification description can be executed on a general-purpose computer that controls a PABX (private automatic branch exchange). The prototype system for evaluation of the layered service software generation automation method is discussed.<>
