Forecasting of RES Generation Indicators

The article investigates methods of forecasting in energy. It shows that forecasting in energy is one of the tasks of energy efficiency monitoring. It shows that forecasting in energy is one of the tasks of energy efficiency monitoring. Generation processes in the integrated power system (IPS) of Ukraine by various energy sources, both traditional and renewable, are analysed. It is shown that forecasting future values of a time series based on its historical values is the basis for financial planning, management and optimization of energy production and monitoring. Application of adaptive Holt - Winters models for forecasting generation indicators is substantiated. The results of forecasting electricity generation in the IPS of Ukraine by renewable energy sources (RES) according to the Holt - Winters model are presented.
