The first use case is Wireless Tele Surgery (WTS), which is considered to be an integral part of the wider field of telemedicine. The second use case is about connecting a Wireless Service Robot (WSR), i.e. a robotic platform with Artificial Intelligence in the edge cloud. The chapter describes the WTS and WSR use cases in detail and presents the corresponding technical requirements 5G wireless is expected to support. It presents the architecture, technology and security aspects of 5G that would cater for the Tele‐healthcare use cases and applications.
