Detection of misconvergence is carried out based on several methods for the estimation of the bit-error rate (BER) at the output of the blind equalizer, thus leading to new countermeasures in order to overcome channel effects on the equalizer performance. A comparative study of several detection techniques is carried out for both static and dynamic channels.
