Nanostructured optical fibre for chemical sensing using surface-enhanced Raman scattering
To enable practical applications of surface-enhanced Raman scattering, we have constructed nano-structured surfaces with controlled geometry on the tip of an optical fibre. Preliminary results from commercially drawn SERS fibres are presented.
