Then, the power difference for each line terminals is evaluated. The faulted line is that has the largest power difference between its terminals, or in other words has positive average power at one terminal and negative one at the other terminal. The proposed scheme is applied on IEEE 14 bus system. All simulations are carried out using MATLAB/SIMULINK software package. Several fault case studies are investigated to validate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
