Matrix Algorithm for the Fault Localization and Failback of Power Distribution Network Based on the Feeder Terminal Units
Due to the increasingly requirement of power continuity, stability, and economy, a suitable algorithm is of significance to locate the fault accurately when the distribution network fails. Since the traditional undirected fault location algorithm has the limitation on the number of fault location and electrical power sources, the paper proposes a centralized fault localization algorithm based on the matrix operations. The algorithm solves the difficulty of locating multiple faults in the complex distribution network, and eliminates matrix multiplication with heavy computation. The corresponding diagrams of the distribution network are presented to verify the effectiveness of each algorithm and clarify the scope of application. In addition, the principles of failback are illustrated with practical situations encountered in the process of restoring power supply to non-fault areas.
