Reflections on performance assessment of Chinese university faculty
This paper analyzes the negative effects produced by current Chinese university faculty's performance assessment. It puts forward that the performance assessment mechanism of Chinese university must not only focus on people orientation and value orientation of faculty's development, but also strengthen faculty's initiative and participatory in performance evaluation and integrate the qualitative evaluation into quantitative evaluation.
