The proposed approach is a really compromised solution which has good performance on all evaluating aspects of data throughput, packet drop rate, and fairness. We discuss different scheduling strategies for 802.16 systems and propose a new scheduling approach based on both the concepts of weighted fair queuing and earliest deadline first.
