On the other hand, Apache Spark is becoming a popular platform for distributed big data in-memory analytics. This paper presents an implementation of agent-based sub-model in Apache Spark framework. With the in-memory computation, Spark implementation outperforms the traditional distributed memory implementation using MPI.
