Fuzzy phase compensation algorithm and its application
Traditional fuzzy logic inference and control algorithms cannot be used effectively in phase-related mechanical velocity control, since fuzzy logic is essentially a trial strategy which is based upon observation from the next system response. Experimental results and process applications show that these algorithms are not suitable for fast-reaction systems. This paper discusses a modified fuzzy inference/control algorithm-the lead-and-lag fuzzy logic compensation algorithm, which uses a lead-and-lag algorithm to compensate the phase error. This algorithm was successfully used on multiple-function food-packing lines. It can trace the phase correctly and reduce the accumulated phase error within an acceptable degree.
