Bastovansky","doi":"10.1109/EDPE53134.2021.9604047","DOIUrl":null,"url":null,"abstract":"This paper describes a comparative FEA-approach analysis of 4 different rotor topologies of cylindrical type high-speed PMSM, which is planned for a turbocharger assisted with electric motor. In the first part, considered rotor topologies are modelled in the Ansys Workbench 19.0 and their mechanical performances are simulated at rated speed 100 000 rpm. This way, the maps of equivalent von-Mises stress and total deformation are obtained. Appropriate rotor topology is selected and further analysed in two constructional options. In the second part, options of selected topology are further modelled and analysed for electromagnetic performance, using the Ansys Motor-CAD. This way, the equivalent circuit parameters, losses and output performance are given.
