Evaluation of in vitro drug release and in vivo tolerance of porous biodegradable reservoir device
The biodegradable polymer polycaprolactone was tested in vitro and in vivo as an intraocular drug delivery device loaded with 5-carboxyfluorescein dye. Zero-order release of carboxyfluorescein was obtained in vitro. The device was tolerated well after implantation in the rabbit eye.
