摘要

多核服务器平台的推广和云计算应用的普及,使得对于以太网端口的应用数量需求也在快速增长。传统的使用VMM软交换的方式在一个共享的网络设备上实现多个虚拟机,带来了网络数据包处理时间明显增加、网络吞吐量降低、CPU负载增加等一系列问题。基于I/O硬件虚拟化、多描述符队列、接收端扩展、网络数据包路由机制等关键技术,设计实现了一种面向云计算的虚拟万兆网卡。在该网卡中,多个虚拟设备队列与多个CPU内核之间的映射使用队列作为数据交换单元,而不是数据包,与普通网卡相比,这样可以大大提高吞吐量。
