Since MANET is infrastructure-less and has no clear line of defense, it is accessible to both legitimate network users and malicious attackers. Hence, to prevent the network from various attacks, scheming of a robust security design is mandatory. Various approaches have been proposed with different cryptographic solutions to countermeasure the attacks against MANET but most of them have focused on specific security threats.
