To apply H.264 in mobile multimedia terminal, implementation and optimization on platform must be studied. This paper introduces some optimization ideas and describes optimization techniques to realize real-time encoder on TMS320DM642 or equivalent chip. Some corresponding experiments have been performed on the un-optimized encoder. The optimized encoder and the results are presented here.
