However, the space vector modulation technology of five-level converter has the problems of many vectors and complex control. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a five-level simplification algorithm based on reference vector translation. This algorithm makes full use of the mature space vector modulation technology of a two-level converter. First, the five-level space vector is simplified to three-level SVPWM modulation, and then the three-level SVPWM modulation is simplified to the two-level SVPWM modulation. And based on MATLAB/Simulink simulation platform and dSPACE hardware in the loop simulation platform, the five-level simplification algorithm is deeply studied.
