Researchers are looking to find effective solutions for VM migration in data centers to reduce power consumption under given quality of service constraints. This paper presents the performance evaluation of virtual machine migration within a Datacenter. We present an energy aware simulation setting using GreenCloud simulator. The simulator enables to capture the details of tasks load and consumed energy by data center elements such as physical machines, virtual machines, switches and links.
