Because it has many advantages, such as high efficiency, low cross-polarization level and simple structure. However, the traditional planar slot array antennas has some difficulties in Beamforming. For example, the phase distribution of the planar slot array antenna can not be adjusted flexibly. Here, a proactive conformal waveguide slot array antenna is designed with a cosecant squared pattern on its H-plane. It can control the phase distribution by the shape of the antenna. Based on this, the proactive conformal waveguide slot array antenna can modulate the amplitude and phase distribution independently.
