The effectiveness of the MASW method for S-wave velocity estimation is tested on the basis of modeling. The effectiveness of full-wave modelling in investigating the integrity of the foundation wall beneath a high-altitude dam is also considered. Finally is discussed the application of full-wave modeling to determine the seismic effect before and after water injection into the aquifer.
