Upgrading Rural Living: Agri-Green House Concept for Agriculturists
Energy efficient concepts for housing are continuously actualizable and advancing. This bent is targeting generally the regular residential buildings at the urban level. With the new perspectives envisioned in this sector, research and development must stretch with a special attention to extra-urban housing. Nascent upgrading in this scope is needed to ensure achievement of new attainable concepts for agriculture-residential buildings in the arrangement of energy efficiency and environmental characteristic. The concern for instigating appropriate housing for breeders/cultivators/farmers is increasingly appearing of interest for different private, public, and government investors, leading to initiatives but only at clueing or ideas stages, with very limited concrete responses that mostly carry on the sustainable agri-ecology in general. This project explores the techniques and technologies of constructing an energy efficient model of agriculture housing, adapted to the local context for most existing residential dwellings from local materials. The need for a sustainable approach to address these appearing threats of resource exhaustion and environmentally alarming practices in agriculture that cannot be modulated. The project also contends with sustainable industrial agriculture key-solutions for developing countries and sub-Saharan Africa in perspective. The driver of this paper is to establish research of the best efficient agriculture housing and related practices through developing real scale test facility and implementing the suitably-adapted model to the Moroccan context for the optimum envelope performance in agricultural environments. This test facility will also address the energy savings policies and regulations through activities such as program evaluations for sustainable energy use in agriculture.
