There are methods for estimating the impulse response of a communication channel: the regularization method. At the receiving location, the OFDM signal, like a bandpass signal, is processed based on the extraction of the quadrature components of the observed oscillation. This, respectively, will require the formation of estimates of the quadrature components of the impulse response of the channel. The use of the algorithm reception in \"a whole\" with element-wise decision allows you to abandon the use of prefixes and postfixes in the structure of the OFDM symbol, which leads to an increase in bandwidth.
