The region consists huge potential for solar and wind energy. Many renewable projects have been planned for this region although the rural aspect of population distribution develops transmission and distribution issues. To cater such problems, microgrids are proposed for Balochistan. Since CPEC and other projects are planned for this region, the demand is further expected to grow. The self-sufficient system proposed in this system analysis the solar potential of these regions, the impact on the environment and as well communication protocols. Communication is important since virtual power plants and smart grid implementation would require microgrids to interact with each other in any efficient way. The paper analyzes the potential technical proficiency for this communication protocol.
