The relevance of this study is connected with the intensive growth of the number of road transport, brings certain problems to the management of the road transport and road economy by the state apparatus. The authors highlighted, described and analyzed the characteristic features of the organization of road traffic in the country’s leading in road safety. Considerable attention is paid to practical experience in the application of existing accident reduction measures, which are effective and give the most positive trend in reducing the number of traffic violations, accidents, resulting in fewer casualties and fewer deaths. As a result of the study, a number of measures aimed at improving road safety that can be applied on the roads of the Russian Federation were identified and analyzed.
