Different factors affecting the parameters of PV panel are reviewed. Shading causing factors and steps to minimize the shading is deliberated. Bypass diode and its importance on PV panel are explained. Further, the Simulink model of PV panel is developed for series-parallel configuration to assess the shading effect.
