Exploring Approaches to Artificial Intelligence Governance: From Ethics to Policy

There has been a trend among various stakeholders for AI governance, such as the government, industry, and academia, that advocates for a shift from AI ethics to AI policy. In this paper, we briefly introduce the motivation for such a change and two complementary reports about AI ethics policy development to help AI ethics researchers operationalize abstract AI ethics principles into actionable policy items.
