Internationalität in Gender Studies – Reflexionen aus Indien und der Türkei
The audiovisual contribution ”Internationality in Gender Studies – Reflections from India and Turkey” presents a number of highly personal and individual perspectives and experiences, thereby illustrating the range of possible positions toward the subject. Theoretical reflections are not necessarily being supported but are not being negated either. Within the anthology, this contribution calls to mind the people beyond the theoretical debates who strive to communicate and interact with each other. Multidirectional transfers are desired as is a critical examination of how they may be achieved. Duygu Aloglu from Ankara, Turkey and Lavinia Mawlong from Shillong and Mumbai, India are doctoral candidates at the Institute of Geographical Sciences at the Freie Universitat Berlin. Drawing from their own personal backgrounds, they discuss their personal perspectives on the subject of an internationalization of Gender Studies with a particular focus on Turkey and India. The interviews were held separately and in English. They were conflated for the video.
