Improving the quality of provided services and increasing patient satisfaction in medical facilities is an undoubted challenge for health care institutions in Poland. The aim of this paper was to assess the level of satisfaction with nursing care using the Newcastle scale. Material and methods. The study included 117 patients hospitalized in the cardiac rehabilitation unit. The research tool used in the study was the standardized Newcastle questionnaire to assess patients’ overall satisfaction and experiences with nursing care at the unit level. Results. The respondents’ experience of nursing care was rated at a medium level, while their level of satisfaction with nursing care was rated at a high level. The above rating was influenced by the age and educational level of the patients. Conclusions.
