The UWB elements are trapezoidal shaped monopoles having complementary cuts in the ground plane. The WLAN-band notched feature is realized by use of slit-cuts from these UWB monopoles. Orthogonal placement of elements provides the pattern-diversity characteristics and high inter-element isolation.
