The proposed cross-layer scheme takes into account parameters from the application layer (I-based versus P-based packets), MAC Layer (Scheduling packets according to their importance) and Physical Layer (Linear Precoding). All these parameters are considered within a novel resource allocation algorithm with transmission rate constraints suitable for video applications.
