Yin","doi":"10.1109/META.2008.4723597","DOIUrl":null,"url":null,"abstract":"In this paper, the method of geometric optics is applied to investigate wave propagation in a negative-graded refractive index lens with an anisotropic medium based on a presented modified eikonal equation valid for the most general form of an anisotropic or chiral medium. The far fields are obtained by means of the computed geometric optics field on the surface of the lens. The method is easily degenerated to the case of the isotropic medium and the computed far fields are compared with the 3-D fields simulation tools CST.
