This study focuses on the implementation of NodeMCU ESP8266-12E, a microcontroller development board with Wi-Fi capabilities specially designed for IoT-based Applications, and a Solid State Relay (SSR) as the initiating component of the device. Android Studio serves as the platform for making the application to provide an automated approach in controlling the air conditioning units (ACU) within a 60- meter range. A Java based program was developed to interface to an electronic component connected to an android device which regulates the air conditioner's power switch.
