A novel design of superstrate consisting of periodic structure with varactor diode is presented to demonstrate the RCS reduction of patch antenna array. Radiation and scattering performance of two configurations of superstrate, viz. 2-layered and 3-layered are shown for both single patch and 4-element patch array.
