The design employs concept of aperture coupling through a crossed slot in the ground plane. Two patches which are stacked one above the other are excited through this slot. Return loss better than 15dB with a peak gain of 6.82dBi/7.95dBi and gain of -5dBi at ±70º is achieved at 1.17645GHz/1.57542GHz. Miniaturized dual band aperture coupled patch antenna for remote sensing satellites
