The paper attempts to highlight some of the prominent factors of social media technology which are influencing the career decisions of Gen Z and Gen Y. It also provides a model which helps discriminate between Gen Z and Gen Y on the basis of their responses to the survey. Primary data was collected using a questionnaire for this study. The 221 data samples collected for this study were from Gen Z from top technology institutions and Gen Y who are currently working in the industry. The paper draws its focus on Gen Z and Gen Y in India who are technology savvy and leverage social media which is a global platform for sharing information.
