Design of high electron efficiency for millimetre wave TWT
An optimised design for high electron efficiency in the interaction in the interaction section has been put forward and simulated with TWTCAD. The experimental results for a Ka band TWT showed that the interaction efficiency reached 20% with 3 GHz bandwidth.
