Kelong, or 'singing,' is one of the main elements in the gandrang bulo dance. Kelong is usually presented simultaneously with elements of pakakkala' (funny) dance and drama/acting that are satire. Kelong is meant to be educational, while pakakkala' and satire are entertaining humor. So far, most appreciators are more interested in entertaining humor than curiosity about the meaning of the kelong. This paper aims to reveal the description of the kelong presentation portion in the gandrang bulo dance phenomenon. This article also tries to articulate the meaning of education and motivation to stimulate an awareness that teaches that life is not vanity. The implementation of the research uses descriptive qualitative methods by prioritizing the collection of musical data and verbal data as a unit of analysis. The finding of this study is the presence of contrasting and proportionless elements, giving rise to a quasi-encouraging audience appreciation of the meaning of kelong education.
