Study on the capability of four-level partial response equalization in RSOA-based WDM-PON
We investigate the characteristics of 10 Gb/s upstream transmission in WDM-PON using bandwidth-limited RSOA and various lengths of fiber. We demonstrate that four-level partial response equalization is capable of mitigating the impact of ISI in networks with reach from 0 km to 75 km.
