The low - frequency coefficients of the eighth and ninth decomposition levels are transmitted as key frames. Every second frame is skipped and interpolated in the decoder by key frames and additional (side) information containing wavelet coefficient prediction errors and considered as motion vectors. A comparison of the developed software complex and the DISCOVER codec was made based on the dependence of the signal-to-noise ratio on the bitrate.
