Building a medical cloud that uses such sensors motivates us for a 24h healthcare monitoring service. Furthermore, we identify several challenges, which have to be solved to enable a complete solution for a generic medical cloud capable of communication with medical institutions and caregivers. The analyzed ICT challenges include reception of streaming data from sensors, preprocessing of streams and their storage, automated analysis of received data, monitoring of specific ECG-related data, etc. The analyzed patents can be categorized as methods for 1) measuring ECG, 2) communicating with the main module, 3) managing heart condition and 4) for cardio-physiological mathematical modeling.
