This discussion is based on teletandem sessions that took place in 2017 among learners of PFL located in the United States and native speakers of Portuguese located in Brazil. Considering the PFL instructor’s personal narrative as an autoethnographic record of this experience, this study challenges traditional approaches to the teaching and learning process in view of the different ways of teaching and learning that have been gaining ground due to the countless possibilities brought by new information and communication technologies, especially the tools used for virtual exchange. 摘要
