An E-Health Enterprise Architecture Framework: Integration of Thailand Case
Enterprise architecture (EA) is the solution to improve efficacy and enhance the transparency. EA serves the integration between business, technology, and management focusing on policy alignment. This study presents an e-Health framework based on the EA concept and the digital disruption. The framework assumption is the connected health system. The framework has been designed through comprehensive literature review as well as qualitative evaluation consisting of eight major layers. The strategy layer includes the governance and health policy. The business layer covers on e-service and health data with citizen participation. The technology and infrastructure offer the supporting platform to link the application and service. The last component is the regulation including health index and e-healthcare standard to enable the data communication within the system. The framework demonstrates the integrated enterprise architecture would contribute to promote interoperability and transparency through the layers of data and e-service. Moreover, the point of care is identified as the system key driver to create the people centric health system. The qualitative evaluation confirms the completeness and agreement of the framework. It would generate benefits on health management and public participation in term of good governance and service improvement.
