To meet this challenge, Universiti Malaysia Pahang has adopted student center learning (SCL) approach in teaching a course on embedded microcontroller technology. MINI-11 development board for M68HC11 microcontroller is designed specifically for this new approach in teaching. Equips with an easy-to-use integrated software development environment utility program, MINI-11 can be used to develop microcontroller-based application system of various complexity. A prototype of MINI-11 development board has been designed, developed, tested and verified for the purposes. The accompanying IDE software simplified firmware development process.
