We exemplarily describe the benefits of our approach utilizing a popular international news web page before employing a large publicly accessible dataset of web page characteristics for simulation. Through simulation that incorporates web page popularity, we find that short-term download savings of 10-15 % are attainable within daily update boundaries and longterm savings around 10 % are realistic.
